Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her roles in film and television since the late 1980s. Bassett has been awarded a variety of honors, including the Golden Globe Award, and sixteen NAACP Image Awards. In the last decade she has been working in film and TV. The actress has won numerous awards including 16 NAACP Image Awards. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born in New York New York, is a well-known actor. Bassett along with her sister aged five, old, emigrated from New York to St. Petersburg to live with their mother, who was the separated father. Bassett was at the age of high school when she watched James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and knew that her dream to become an actor been born. Yale University New Haven Connecticut awarded her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and a graduate degree (1983) in the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a actress who was a friend of hers. They got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. at Yale's School of Drama. awarded an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Bassett in 1980. She attended the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades as well as Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett is currently working in one of the lead roles as Ramonda in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
